ABPCL Item Writer Recognition Program

ABPath appreciates the support of our Volunteer Item Writers for their contribution of questions to be used in ABPath CertLink® (ABPCL), the online longitudinal assessment program for board-certified pathologists. To recognize the time and expertise of our volunteers we have developed the following tiers of recognition.

Diplomates are recognized based on the number of test questions they submit in a calendar year. Incentives will be awarded in Spring of the year following your contributions.

Bronze (1-10 items)

  • You will be recognized with your fellow volunteers in a post on ABPath’s social media accounts (X, Instagram, Facebook and LinkedIn).
  • You will be provided with verbiage you can utilize in your CV detailing your participation in the program.

Silver (11-20 items)

  • You will receive the Bronze tier recognitions.
  • You will be individually recognized in ABPath’s spring newsletter.
  • A letter will be sent to your Department Chair denoting your contribution to the profession of pathology.

Gold (21-35 items)

  • You will receive the Bronze and Silver tier recognitions.
  • You will receive a Certificate of Appreciation.
  • You will be sent a gift of ABPath merchandise.
  • You will receive 1 Improvement in Health and Healthcare (IHHC) credit (formerly IMP)

Platinum (36+ items)

  • You will receive Bronze, Silver and Gold tier recognition.
  • You will be recognized in ABPath’s Annual Report with a short biography.
