REmote Announcement website

Update  July 27, 2020

ABPath continues to finalize details and schedules for the remote Fall 2020 Primary and Subspecialty certification exams. We have received questions about the security of the remote exam platform for both exam content and candidates’ personal information. We will be using a remote testing vendor that we have used successfully for the past five years for Continuing Certification exams. There have never been any breaches of security, data, or personal information. These are high stakes exams, so there will be a live tele-proctor during the entire exam, who will also be available should you need assistance. We expect professionalism from all with strict adherence to the honor code by candidates.

Meanwhile, please update your mailing address and contact information in PATHway so that as we finalized exam details we are able to communicate important information.

Thank you for your patience as we continue our work to deliver a positive exam experience. More information will be coming in the following weeks with exam and practice exam details and date assignments.

July 9, 2020

Due to the ongoing health risks of COVID-19, the ABPath has been working diligently to administer this year’s certification exams remotely. We are pleased to inform you that the ABPath fall 2020 Primary and Subspecialty exams will be administered as remote, secure, live tele-proctored exams taken from your home or office. The health and safety of our candidates and staff are our highest priority. No exams will be administered in the Tampa, FL exam center in 2020. When it is safe to do so and for exam security, we anticipate returning to the administration of certification exams in our exam center.

Candidates who were registered for the Fall 2020 Primary and Subspecialty exams were sent an email and a survey link to the address they have provided in their PATHway account.

More information will follow in the coming weeks. We know this has been a stressful time and hope that remote exams will allay many of our candidate’s concerns. We greatly appreciate your patience as we finalize the details.
